In the ASO’s annual Concertofest! showcase, four seniors take the stage. Alongside all-star wind player Cece Amory ‘24, pianist Christian Pattavina ‘24 presents Beethoven’s Third Piano Concerto in C Minor (1800). Pattavina displays dazzling digital dexterity in a triumphant show of virtuosity. To close the concert, Cassandra Jin ‘24 takes on the swashbuckling Violin Concerto in D Major (1945) by Erich Wolfgang Korngold. Comprising themes from Korngold’s film scores, the Violin Concerto deftly melds the Hollywood movie palace with the Viennese opera house.
